caren magill, content marketingI consider myself a change agent, a brand storyteller and a writer at heart. I’ve been published
on Huffington Post, Livestrong.com and the Active Times, and my products have graced the pages of national publications like Glamor.com, The Chalkboard Mag, Origin, MusleMag and Oxygen Magazine. I find writing about passions and hobbies is the best way to keep my creative skills fresh as a daisy.

These days I’m focused on executive messaging, internal communications, and employee engagement, but I also write change communications, websites, white papers and highly-converting emails. I love learning and getting better at my craft, and I tend to use my membership to Skillshare more than I do my Netflix account.  I also collect great sales copy like most women hoard shoes.

What I’ve been up to lately

2016 – This very moment I write executive and internal communications for a public tech company in Silicon Valley. I also manage a team of savvy communicators focused on employee engagement and experience.

2014 – 2015 – project managed a communications strategy for a large, global and public divestiture (it was far less boring than it sounds).

2012 to 2015 – launched an online, direct-to-consumer boutique food brand serving the fitness and health market. 

2011 – 2012 – created behavior change marketing communications strategies for a large public utility rolling out Smart Meter technology.

2011 and before – Finished a Master’s degree, did some social media consulting, moved to the US to produce corporate events, wrote taglines for hearing aid radio spots, produced a nationwide roadshow promoting Public Venture Capital for the Toronto Stock Exchange,  studied yoga at an ashram in India, and dabbled in technical writing.
